Heart of the Forest Heritage are a community group who share an interest in telling the unique story of landscape change across the Heart of The National Forest.

The groups aims are:

  • To create a digital community archive accessible to anyone wanting to find out more about the history of the area through photographs, maps and other documents of local heritage interest.
  • To preserve local heritage features and collections that bring the story of industry to life; mining, pottery, railways, the canal and the landscape.
  • To provide opportunities for volunteers to learn about heritage, archiving and the care of collections.
